   Thiruvalluvar (திருவள்ளுவர்) is a celebrated tamil poet who wrote the thirukural, a work on ethics in tamil literature. He is also known by other names like Theiva Pulavar, Valluvar and Poyyamozhi Pulavar.

                  Thirukkural is one of most revered ancient works in the Tamil  . Kural is considered as 'World common faith', as it shows the way for human morals and betterment in life. The Kural has been translated into most languages, likely next only to the Bible, Qur'an and Gita . The Latin translation of Thirukkural made by Constanzo Beschi in 1730 helped significantly to make known to European intellectuals the richness and beauty of Tamil literature.




The temple is the geographic and ritual center of the ancient city of Madurai. The temple walls, streets and finally the city walls (ancient) were built around the temple in concentric squares.  Rameswaram is a town in Ramanathapuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located on Pamban Islandseparated from mainland India by the Pamban channel and is about 50 kilometres from Mannar Island, Sri Lanka. Pamban Island, also known as Rameswaram Island, is connected to mainland India by the Pamban Bridge. Rameswaram is the terminus of the railway line from Chennai and Madurai. Together with Kashi, it is considered to be one of the holiest places in India to Hindus, and part of the Char Dham pilgrimages. Hence, it is a bustlingpilgrim centre.






Kodaikanal has several scenic natural attractions which are enjoyed by its visitors and make it a popular romantic destination for newlyweds.

Kodaikanal Lake, 500 metres(1,600 ft) from the bus stand, is an artificial, roughly star-shaped 45 ha (60 acres) lake built in 1863. It is recognized as Kodaikanal's most popular geographic landmark and tourist attraction. Rowboats and pedalos can be hired at the Kodaikanal Boat Club with its main entrance near the only five-star hotel in Kodaikanal, The Carlton. Horses and bicycles can be hired beside the lake for short periods. The 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) path that skirts the periphery of this lovely lake is a favourite walk for the locals and tourists alike.





             The Thanjavur area has a rich historical heritage and is a prism of ancient as well as the modern south Indian civilizations. The city was once the stronghold of the historic Cholas and at one time was also the capital of the Cholas, Mutharayars and Marathas when they were at the peak of their power. Since then, Thanjavur has been one of the chief political, cultural and religious centres of South India.

         Thanjavur contains over 90 temples, as it was favored by the Chola rulers between the 1st - 12th centuries, the Nayakas in the 16th century, and theMarathas in the 17th and 18th centuries.




Mahablipuram:   The monuments are mostly rock-cut and monolithic, and constitute the early stages of Dravidian architecturewherein Buddhist elements of design are prominently visible. They are constituted by cave temples, monolithicrathas (chariots), sculpted reliefs and structural temples. The pillars are of the Dravidian order. The sculptures are excellent examples of Pallava art.

Ooty is deep within the Nilgiri hills, also known as The Blue Mountains. The main attraction of Courtallam for all its visitors are waterfalls. There are three major waterfalls that are reachable by road - the Main Falls, Five Falls, and Old Courtallam Falls.
